Frankie MacDonald Biography
Answer 1
Frankie MacDonald
He started posting videos online in 2007 and began appearing on camera around 2009. His forecasts went viral because of his unmistakable delivery: loud, urgent, extremely enthusiastic and full of practical warnings like:
“Order your pizzas and order your Chinese food! Buy cases of Pepsi and Coke! Charge your cellphones, charge your laptops, charge your tablets, and be prepared!”

Is he actually a meteorologist?
So he is better described as a weather communicator or amateur forecaster. His strength is not original atmospheric modelling. It is attracting attention, communicating urgency and getting people to prepare for severe weather.
He has occasionally discussed earthquakes and other natural disasters as well. Those predictions should not be treated as scientifically reliable earthquake forecasts, since earthquakes cannot currently be predicted with dependable timing and precision.
Why people like him
Frankie is autistic and speaks openly about it. Weather is one of his lifelong special interests, and he turned that interest into an unusually successful public identity. His videos are sincere, energetic and instantly recognizable. People often share them affectionately rather than treating them as conventional television forecasts.
He became particularly popular in Nova Scotia, but his warnings now cover locations throughout Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and elsewhere. The Nova Scotia Legislature has even formally recognized his international popularity.
His book
According to Nimbus Publishing, it won a Moonbeam Children’s Book Award and was nominated for the Hackmatack and Yellow Cedar children’s-choice awards.
Where to find him

Here is his own autobiographical video:
Basically, Frankie is not Canada’s official forecaster, but he may be Canada’s most recognizable independent weather personality. His enthusiasm is completely genuine, and “Be prepared!” has effectively become his trademark.
